Shunyata Research Omega QR-s noise reducing power cable

The Shunyata Omega QR-s is a slightly downsized version of the Omega QR.  The smaller diameter tube, lighter weight and greater flexibility make it ideal for use with source equipment.  The ideal application for the Omega QR-s would be DACs, CD players, preamplifiers, digital processors, integrated amplifiers or other source equipment.

For high power amplifiers, above 200 watt/ch, use the Omega QR.

The Omega QR-s is a legitimate power conditioner in a cable.  The patented QR/BB™ technology that drives Shunyata Research’s reference power conditioners is now available in a flexible cable that can be plugged directly into the wall socket.  No intermediate chassis or boxes needed or the requisite extra power cable; fewer connections, more floor and rack space freed up.  The QR/BB™ technology improves dynamics while the integrated NR technology reduces power line noise.

QR/BB™ TECHNOLOGY

The QR/BB™ module possesses the ability to act as an electric charge reservoir, meaning it stores and releases energy in a manner that improves a component’s access to instantaneous current.

VTX-Ag CONDUCTORS

The Omega’s VTX-Ag conductors are the product of a 25-year design progression steeped in credible science and definitive measurement.

VTX-Ag conductors use an outer tube geometry of the purest form of copper, intended to bring out the purest tone and timbres of recorded instruments and voice.  The Omega’s VTX outer core of pure copper surrounds an inner core of the purest form of silver.  This inner Ag core demonstrably improves macro-dynamics and creates an incredible three dimensional weight and timing in the lower octaves.
